The Spacebar
The Spacebar brings you a little bit of all kinds of music floating out there. Genre's like old classics, new indies, hip-hop and even biker bar jukeboxes, this show tries to cover everything in between (in no particular order, of course). The playlist will be a melting pot of what's in the deck, the iPod playlist and whatever CD happens to come across at the time. It might not always be a pleasant experience, but as long as at the end of the day, you've discovered a new sound, then the Spacebar did its job!
Nate was born in 1978. At the age of four, he was given a guitar. At the age of twelve, he discovered Jimi Hendrix and put his guitar down, having reached enlightenment. He picked it up again at age 15 to play powerchords in a punk band in Chicago.
After moving to Los Angeles in 1996, he realized he preferred listening to music rather than making it. He enjoys all kinds of music...except for Opera, which is still a point of conflict between him and his father. He also enjoys playing pool; a hobby that cost him one of his favorite records (a first press of Bob Marley's 'Natty Dread'). His two favorite noises are his girlfriends laugh and his cats purr.
The Spacebar broadcasts every Monday afternoon from 12 noon to 1pm.
