Q: What is KDHR?
A: KDHR is a student operated campus radio station located at Cal State University, Dominguez Hills. Because of the internet only nature of KDHR, student volunteers are allowed to stream whatever content they like and play whatever genre of music they prefer.
Q: Where are you located?
A: Currently, we are located in the old Leo F. Cain University Library , on the first floor. We are currently in the process of changing our location to a more visible and radio-friendly location on campus.
Q: How can I listen?
A: While on the site, you can go to the “Listen Live” tab, and listen to whatever show is playing during that time with the use of iTunes or Windows Media Player. If you cannot listen to the shows live, you can go to the “Show Archive” tab and listen to the podcasts of the shows. You can also download the shows through iTunes. Just go to the Colleges/Universities section and search KDHR.
We also have a KDHR app available on Android devices which allows you to listen to any live shows or download podcasts, all from your mobile device.
Q: How can I get involved?
A: If you would like to sign up for a radio show, just fill out a volunteer application and turn it in to the KDHR office. No prior experience is needed to do a show; it is available to all students, staff, and faculty of CSUDH. We also allow opportunities for alumni to do shows.
We also have internships available to students as well. If you are interested in being an intern at KDHR, please email the station staff to kdhr.net@gmail.com.
Q: What music do you play?
A: The music library that streams 24 hours a day, 7 days a week consists of all kinds of music and the order that it is played in is randomized. During the shows, each DJ can chose to play what they wish.
Q: How can I download a particular show?
A: There are three ways to download any particular show.
Through our website: Click on the “Show Archive” tab, then, scroll through the shows and select the one you wish to download.
Through iTunes: Click on “Podcasts” and subscribe to KDHR.
Through our Android app: Download the KDHR app then click on “Podcasts” at the bottom of the page. That will direct you to the list of shows available. Click on the show you want to download. A window will appear, asking you if you want to download or stream the show. Click “Download”.
Q: Where can I listen from?
You can tune in from anywhere in the world, as long as you have internet connection to access kdhr.net, iTunes, or the Android app.
